I established Maxine Parker Planning Consultancy in 2012 after gaining 28 years experience in local government, a significant number spent as a Senior Planner. Prior to working in local government, I studied at Sheffield University where I successfully completed an Advanced Diploma and subsequently a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning.

I am also a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, as a Chartered Town Planner I operate under the RTPI’s Code of Professional Conduct.

I provide a range of planning services for individuals, householders, small and medium sized businesses, architects, and land developers of all size. To all my clients I offer professional, honest, and clear advice. I offer a friendly, personal, and reliable service which seeks to successfully conclude projects as quickly as practicable while maintaining assiduous attention to detail.

I specialise in small residential developments, Green Belt development, building conversions, and smaller commercial schemes and changes of use. I am able to connect clients to a range of specialist professionals, a necessity in many schemes. These include but are not limited to: ecologists, flood risk experts, heritage consultants, structural and highways engineers, and arboriculturalists. For a more detailed summation of the services I provide and schemes I will undertake please see my services page.

I am based in Saddleworth; however, I regularly undertake projects throughout localities across Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire, including: Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside, Kirklees, Calderdale, and some parts of the Peak District National Park.

I aim to guide clients through the complex and dynamic planning system as painlessly as possible!
